Hi, I'm Lara.

Long before I became a tattoo artist, I was drawing. To this day, every tattoo begins as an illustration—shaped by nature, art history, architecture, and the small details I discover along the way.

I'm drawn to the flowing lines of Art Nouveau, organic forms, and the quiet beauty as well as the sense of playfulness that a drawing can hold. These influences find their way into every piece I create—sometimes becoming original designs of my own, sometimes evolving together with my clients' stories into something entirely new.

To me, a tattoo should do more than just look beautiful—it should feel honest. That's why I take my time with the creative process, from the very first idea to the finished illustration.

How I work

Every tattoo is created with care, patience, and a deep attention to detail. Together, we'll create a piece that feels unmistakably yours—or find one of my original designs that has been waiting for the right person. From the first sketch to your appointment at the studio, I'll guide you through every step of the process.

A look into the studio

I work from Atelier Jiyu in the heart of Berlin's Kreuzberg district—a calm, light-filled studio tucked away in the courtyard of a historic brick building. Away from the city's bustle, it's a place where you can slow down and feel at ease. I share this space with an international collective of artists, united by creativity, openness, and a genuine sense of community.

Once we've scheduled your appointment, the creative process begins. I'll develop your design with care, patience, and close attention to every detail. If questions come up along the way—or you'd like to explore a change together—there's always room for it. What matters most to me is that we both arrive at the same feeling: This is exactly right.

02 · The Appointment

Without the rush.

When you arrive at the studio, the first thing you'll do is simply settle in. Maybe with a drink in hand and a moment on the sofa while we take one last look at your design together. We'll then find the perfect size and placement—without time pressure, and only once everything feels just right. I want you to feel comfortable from the very first moment.

03 · Getting Tattooed

At your own pace.

We won't begin until everything feels just right. Throughout your appointment, you're always welcome to take a break, have a drink, or simply pause and breathe. I schedule every session with plenty of time for exactly these moments—because to me, feeling relaxed is just as important as leaving with a beautiful tattoo.

04 · Aftercare & Beyond

The last step isn't the end.

After your appointment, I'll take the time to explain everything you need to know about caring for your tattoo and answer any questions you may have. If you'd like, we'll also take professional photos of your new tattoo—both as a keepsake for you and, with your permission, for my portfolio. Then all that's left is to head home with a tattoo you'll love for years to come.

Style & Designs

What kind of tattoos do you create?

I love organic designs inspired by plants, animals, water, natural forms, and illustrations with a calm, flowing aesthetic.
At the same time, many of my tattoos are created together with my clients. If your idea fits my artistic style, I'm always excited to develop something completely new together.
My work tends to be delicate and refined, inspired by vintage ink illustrations and pencil sketches. I also work across different techniques that rely on precision and fine detail, including micro realism, fineline, and dotwork tattoos.
Anything that requires patience and precision is where I feel most at home. If you're looking for bold outlines, large solid colour areas, or heavy blackwork, another artist will probably be a better fit.

Can I choose one of your pre-made designs?

Absolutely! Alongside custom commissions, I regularly create original flash designs. Some of them are simply waiting for the right person.
I regularly share new designs on my Instagram, and I'm currently working on a dedicated gallery here on my website. If one of them speaks to you, it can become your tattoo. I'm also happy to adapt existing designs to better suit you.

Do you only work in black ink, or do you also tattoo in colour?

My main focus is on delicate black ink illustrations, sometimes using diluted ink to create soft grey shading (known as grey wash).

Occasionally, I incorporate subtle colour when it enhances the overall design. My process usually begins with a delicate black or grey foundation, which I then complement with soft washes of colour, creating a result that feels reminiscent of a watercolour painting.

Are there any tattoos you don't do?

I deliberately focus on designs that fit my artistic style. If I feel another artist would be a better match for your idea, I'll always be honest about it and I'm happy to recommend someone I trust.

What matters most to me is that you end up with the best possible tattoo—even if that sometimes means pointing you in a different direction.

Does my idea need to be fully worked out?

Not at all! Some of the most personal tattoos begin with nothing more than a feeling, an animal, a plant, or an idea that means something to you—and a willingness to explore it together.

Some clients send me an open Pinterest board, while others simply share a collage of holiday photos, pictures of their pets, nature, or anything else that inspires them.

Together, we'll shape those ideas step by step into a design that feels truly like you.

Planning & Appointments

How do I get started?

The easiest way is through the inquiry form on my website. Tell me a little about your idea, and include as much information as you can—such as the placement, approximate size, or any reference images you already have.
After that, I'll get back to you personally, and we'll take it from there together.

When will I get to see my design?

I begin working on your design once we've confirmed your appointment.
Depending on how far in advance we've booked your session, I'll usually create your design in the days or weeks leading up to your appointment. If I have any questions or would like your feedback along the way, I'll naturally get in touch.
Most importantly, you'll always have the chance to look over your design in advance and, if needed, make any final adjustments together before your appointment.

Can I ask for changes to the design?

Absolutely. It's important to me that you truly love your tattoo. If something doesn't feel quite right yet, we'll talk it through and refine the design together. The goal is a piece that we both feel completely confident about.

That way, you'll leave with a tattoo you'll love for years to come—and I'll be able to create the very best version of it.

How much does a tattoo cost, and why do you require a deposit?

Every tattoo is as unique as the person wearing it. The final price depends on factors such as size, level of detail, placement, and the time involved. Once I've received your inquiry, I'll usually be able to give you an initial estimate.

As a general guideline, my prices start at around €100. Smaller tattoos are often proportionally more expensive because the same preparation, materials, and studio costs apply regardless of size. ..

A full-day session, where I reserve the entire day for large-scale designs, starts at €500. Once we've discussed all the details and confirmed your appointment, I'll ask for a deposit of around 20–30% of the estimated total price. This secures your appointment and covers the time I invest in creating your custom design. Of course, the deposit is fully deducted from the final price of your tattoo.

Can I reschedule my appointment?

Of course. Life happens, and sometimes plans change. Just let me know as early as possible, and we'll find a new date together.

I've been incredibly lucky to work with kind and reliable clients, so I haven't had to introduce strict cancellation policies or rigid deadlines. If a situation ever comes up, we'll simply discuss your deposit and any rescheduling arrangements openly and transparently. 🙂

How far in advance should I get in touch?

That really depends on your idea and my current availability. If you have a particular time frame in mind—or you'd like your tattoo to be finished for a special occasion—it's always a good idea to reach out as early as possible. Smaller projects can sometimes be scheduled at shorter notice, depending on my availability.

Tattoo & Studio

Can I bring someone with me to my appointment?

Of course! It's important to me that you feel comfortable and relaxed from the moment you arrive. Since we work in an open studio where several artists may be tattooing at the same time, it's always best to let me know in advance. That way, we can make sure everything works smoothly.
In most cases, bringing someone with you isn't a problem. They can either stay with us at your station or relax on one of the sofas in our waiting area.

Do tattoos hurt?

Everyone experiences pain differently, and the placement of your tattoo plays a big role as well. Different areas of the body vary in sensitivity, so some spots are naturally more comfortable than others.
Most people describe the sensation as uncomfortable rather than truly painful. What's most important to me is that you always feel comfortable telling me if you need a break, would like to change position, or simply need a moment to rest. We'll take all the time you need.

How should I prepare for my appointment?

The best preparation is simple: get a good night's sleep, stay well hydrated, and have a proper meal before your appointment. Comfortable clothing that gives easy access to the area being tattooed will also make the session much more relaxed. A few days beforehand, I'll send you everything you need to know, so you won't have to worry about remembering every detail.

This way we can make sure that you will be happy with the result while I can do the best possible job.

If you have particularly dry skin, you're welcome to moisturise the area in the days leading up to your appointment. There's no need to shave beforehand—I always take care of that during the session. Every body is different, and it's my responsibility to make sure you feel comfortable in yours, so there's never any reason to feel self-conscious.

And ideally, you'll leave the studio with a tattoo that feels so right, you'll simply feel even more like yourself. 😉

How should I care for my tattoo afterwards?

After your appointment, I'll explain everything you need to know about caring for your new tattoo, step by step. You'll also receive all the important aftercare information in writing, so you can always refer back to it at home if you need to.

Some tattoo artists swear by specific aftercare products, but my advice is simple: if you already have a tattoo aftercare cream, that's great—but there isn't just one "right" product. Any gentle, fragrance-free moisturiser works just as well. What's far more important than the cream itself is allowing your tattoo to heal undisturbed. Try not to touch it unnecessarily and simply give your skin the time it needs. Moisturiser is there to support the healing process if your skin starts to feel particularly dry or itchy.

Can I still get in touch after my appointment?

Absolutely. If any questions come up while your tattoo is healing—or if you're simply unsure about something—you can always reach out to me. It's important to me that you feel supported long after your appointment is over.

Every person's skin heals differently. Especially with delicate fine line tattoos, I work with very fine needles and intentionally implant only as much ink as needed. Lines that are tattooed too deeply can spread and lose their crispness over time, so my priority is always to create a result that will age beautifully.

Because your body naturally treats tattoo pigment as a foreign substance, it's completely normal for certain areas to heal a little lighter than others. If, after your tattoo has fully healed, you feel that your skin hasn't retained enough pigment in certain spots, I'm always happy to touch it up. That said, many delicate tattoos actually become even softer and more elegant once they've fully healed.

I'm feeling a little nervous—is that normal?

Absolutely. Especially if it's your first tattoo, feeling nervous is completely normal. That's exactly why I always schedule enough time for you to arrive, settle in, and feel at ease. We'll go through everything together one more time, and we won't begin until you feel ready. You don't have to be "brave" or perfectly prepared—we'll take it one step at a time, together.
